Kultur der Straflosigkeit, Zusammenbruch des Rechtsstaats, systematische Repression. +++ Culture of impunity, collapse of rule of law and systematic repression. +++ International Movement Against All Forms of Disrimination and Racism (IMADR)

 (English below) In ihrer Erklärung zur 16. Ordentlichen Sitzung des UN-Menschenrechtsrats wirft die internationale Menschenrechtsorganisation IMADR der srilankischen Regierung vor, besonders im Norden, zunehmend aber auch in ganz Sri Lanka für eine “Kultur der Straflosigkeit, für den Zusammenbruch des Rechtsstaats und eine systematische Repression der demokratischen Grundrechte” verantwortlich zu sein und dabei auch die Verpflichtungen zu missachten, die das Land gegenüber dem UN-Menschenrechtsrat eingegangen sei. Dabei listet IMADR die Menschenrechts- und Kriegsverbrechen der Regierung unter den untenstehenden sechs Punkten auf.  +++  In its statement to the 16th. Regular Session of United Nation’s Human Rights Council the international Human Rights Organisation IMADR accuses the Srilankan Government to be responsible for a “culture of impunity, collapse of the rule of law and the systemic nature of repression carried out to curtail democratic and fundamental rights” especially in the North, but increasingly in the whole country. IMADR also accuses the Government to disregard its obligations to the UN-Human Rights Council. The organisation subsumes the Government’s human rights violations and war crimes under the six points below. 

1. Rücksichtslose militärische Besetzung des tamilischen Nordens unter Kooperation auch von paramilitärischen Gruppen; 2. Vielfache rechtswidrige Tötung ungezählter Einzelpersonen; 3. Rechtswidrige Inhaftierung Tausender von Menschen z.T. über mehrere Jahre; 4. Fortgesetztes “Verschwindenlassen” weiterer Hunderter von Menschen; 5. Menschenrechtswidrige Internierung Zehntausender von Kriegsflüchtlingen und Kriegsvertriebenen noch im 20. Monat nach Kriegsende; 6. Systematische Kriegsverbrechen mit zehntausenden Opfern allein in den letzten fünf Monaten des Krieges;  +++  1. Ruthless military occupation of the Tamil North in cooperation also with paramilitary groups; 2. Extra-juridical killings of uncounted individuals; 3. Unlawfull incarceration of thousands of people in many cases for several years; 4. Ongoing “disappearances” of further hundreds of people; 5. Humanrightsviolating detention of tenthousands of people yet in the 20th. mounths after the end of war; 6. Systematic war crimes causing tenthousands victims only in the last five months of the war.
